WHO WE ARE - Jill is the owner of Mountain Dogs LLC in McCoy Colorado. She specializes in K9 Nose Work training, coaching, competing and hosting trial events and supporting NACSW in multiple ways. She has trained in obedience, therapy dogs and Dock Dogs and extensively in K9 Nose Work sine 2010. She actively competes in NACSW trial events reaching Elite CH and Summit with Digger, Elite 1 with Izzy and now trials with Zeke at Elite 3. Jill is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor since 2014, ORT Certifying Official and ORT Judge, Score Room Lead NW1-NW2, Trial Certifying Official (NW1 to Summit), Trial Judge (all levels) and supports NACSW for many years in multiple capacities including participation in 2017 NACSW National Invitationals as Dog In White and on the Event Committee. Jills competition journey includes many HIT awards with each of her search dogs embracing the passion of building Odor Drive in each dog team.
Jill has also been a professional ski instructor and scuba diving instructor utilizing progressive positive sports training methods for human sports training, a style of progression teaching she now uses as a key foundation in developing, enhancing and enriching the human-canine bond with every K9 Nose Work handler-dog team from Intro to Nose Work to Elite and Summit. Jill teaches regularly in person in Eagle, Grand Junction and Kremmling Colorado and conducts online coaching with students from Alaska to New England and coast to coast. Jill and Mountain Dogs LLC host multiple trials annually (10-12 events) in Colorado as Mountain Dogs and enjoys nose work competition with Zeke at Elite 3 preping for Summit level competition.
