About Us- Jill Kovacevich, CNWI- Owner / Trainer

Jill is the owner of Mountain Dogs LLC and K9 Scent Fix.com in McCoy Colorado. She specializes in K9 Nose Work teaching, training, coaching, hosting trial events and supporting NACSW in multiple ways. Jill is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (2014), ORT Certifying Official and Judge, Trial CO (Certifying Official- All Levels to SMT), Trial Judge and supports NACSW for 15 plus years including participation in NACSW 2017 National Invitational as Dog In White and on the National Event Committee. 

She has also trained in obedience, therapy dogs, Dock Dogs and agility with her dogs and extensively in K9 Nose Work since 2010. She actively competes in NACSW trials reaching Elite CH and Summit with Digger and Zeke, Elite 1 with Izzy. Jill is also the Medical Administrator for Doctors On Call in Avon, CO and is a retired Colorado attorney. 

Jill brings her professional trainer experience as a professional ski instructor with PSIA and SSI scuba diving instructor, both utilizing progressive positive sports training methods for human sports, a style of teaching Jill includes as a key foundation in developing, enhancing and enriching the human-canine bond with every K9 Nose Work dog-handler team from Intro to Nose Work to Elite and Summit. Jill teaches regularly in Eagle, Grand Junction and Kremmling Colorado and hosts over 10  trials annually in Colorado as Mountain Dogs, offers online training at K9ScentFix.com, hosts the K9 Scent Fix Host Support Facebook page and Hosts the K9 Scent Fix podcast. Jill is passionate about competition Nosework and actively trials with her dogs, Zeke, ELT CH at Elite Premier, ELT-S and Summit.
